I remember before turning thirty that I was having a hard time accepting it, not so much the age thing but just that my life wasn't where I thought it would be by the time I turned thirty.

When I spoke to Janet she didn’t tell me to buck up or snap out of it but instead told me she understood as she had organised a thirtieth party for herself and had either
spent the whole party in tears or had left the party early. That was typical of Janet, always supportive and never dismissive, it's what made her such a wonderful aunt.
